ITT's Criminal Justice degree teaches the fundamentals of the criminal justice system and criminal justice skills. Students will be taught legal procedures, law enforcement, criminal evidence and criminology, the courts and corrections.
Students will also develop technical skills used in today’s criminal justice environment, as well as skills an understanding of the causes and prevention of cybercrime. Advanced level courses expand into areas such as criminalistics, victimology and forensics investigations, and homeland security.
Upon completion of the criminal justice degree, graduates will be prepared for careers entry-level positions in law enforcement, community corrections and the private investigation and security fields.
The criminal justice degree will also allow graduates to pursue careers with local, state and federal agencies as well as in the private sector as safety officers, insurance investigators and private detectives.
Most of the Criminal Justice degree courses may be taught either in residence at the school or online over the Internet as a distance education course.
